Add Download Open With Option In Firefox: OpenDownload

There’s a Firefox functionality that I have always wondered about and also wished for: it is the “Open With” function that you can use in the Internet Explorer’s download manager, but not in Firefox’s.

So everyone who has used both browsers to download and fie, might have noticed that with IE you can download a file to your Temporary folder, run the program, or document, or whatever that is, and deleted automatically afterwards, and I always wanted this feature in Firefox.

Daily Mozilla News In Digg-Like Style: FoxieWire

This morning I received an interesting email, pointing to a website which reminded me of Digg, the popular sharing site which lets you vote for news you like, but completely about Mozilla and Firefox.

I liked it so much that I decided to integrate the latest updates in the right sidebar, and to include a button in my posts that lets automatically post articles to it.

FoxieWire is a website completely dedicated to Firefox, in which people can post news, reviews, add-ons, and everything concerning Mozilla Firefox from other blogs and sites.

With a Digg-like interface, users can then vote for posts, which can increase their ranking place and visibility.

Hide Firefox Bookmarks Name On Your Toolbar: Smart Bookmarks Bar

Firefox users might have had the problem of having too many bookmarks on their toolbar. After you add more than 15 tools, your Firefox toolbar begins to be overpopulated, and everytime you look for a site, you just go crazy looking for it.

Email, RSS feed reader and calendar are some of the things no one can do without. Nowadays these services have started to be used in a web based way, and no more with some specific software.
