Google Talk integration inside Gmail is a superb idea, and it is slowly adding features such as voice and video talk. You are then able to have a full text/audio/video conference directly from into your inbox, with no need to install a standalone software.

Today’s news is that Google has announced that it’ll be adding to its browser-based chat client the ability to send files to contacts: file transfer transfers will work for photos, documents and maybe for small video files at the moment of its release.
