Tab Renamizer is a Firefox add-on that allows you to automatically or manually rename tabs, whether it is for privacy or productivity reasons.

If you are not comfortable with people looking at your tabs’ names, or you simply want to rename your tabs for a better visual identification, you can use the two Tab Renamizer’s functions:

  • Custom Mode: Allows you to manually rename each one of your tabs by right clicking on it, or by selecting it with a special-customizable keyword combination. You can also change the tab’s icon, other than the name.
  • tab-renamed

  • Paranoia Mode: A fast custom key shortcut that automatically changes all of your open tabs’ titles, into preset ones, such as Google, Wikipedia, 404 Error Page, or any other that you create.

The settings menu allows you to customize the combinations for both modes, and also to create custom titles for your Paranoia mode.

All you need to do to create a preset title is to give it a name, select an icon from a list or from your current tab, and click OK.
