Open Right Click Menu Upon Text Selection: Auto Context

One of those people who can’t stand slow ones? Are you someone who loves fast actions, and even a click more can mean slowing down for you? If you like extensions like QuickTranslation and AutoCopy, which respectively translated and copied text on selection, then I have what you are looking for today.

AutoContext is a Firefox extension that automatically opens a custom right click menu when a text is selected.

It can be activated and deactivated easily by clicking the small icon on the bottom left on your screen and, apart from bringing up the context menu automatically, it also brings some useful functions with it:

  • You can open the selected text as a URL in a new or current tab.

  • You can search the selected text with Google, Amazon, Yahoo, Answers.com, Ebay and more.

  • It can automatically detect installed extensions that might be integrated in the right-click menu, and also provides a list of extensions you might want to add.

I still haven’t explored it enough, and maybe it has some hidden secrets I am not aware of, so just install it and try it out!
