Preview Bookmarks With Thumbnails: Bookmarks Previews

Bookmarks are important! Yes they really are, and many people want to know how to manage them.

But many of you also want to know how to better browse them, maybe with a thumbnail view so that you can recognize by sight what you are looking for.

Bookmark Previews is a powerful extension that adds an album view and a thumbnail view to your Bookmarks Organizer. It works in both Firefox 2 and Firefox 3, although it may act a little different between Firefox versions because each has a separate bookmarking system.

This extension will take previews of your pages whenever you visit or add a bookmarked page. When you first start you will be able to have the extension create previews for you in the background. You can also perform this task later by Choosing ‘File>Create Previews’ in the Bookmarks Organizer.

Your previews are stored as jpg files in a folder named ‘bookmarkpreviews’ located in your profile folder. When you uninstall the extension (via the extension manager) this folder should be deleted.

You can visit the official site and install it at http://bookmarkpreviews.mozdev.org/installation.html, following our guide on how to install XPI formats extensions, or from the Mozilla Add-ons site at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6271
