Who doesn’t know Photoshop? You may not be able to use it correctly, or maybe you just want to spend money for a license, but I am sure that when someone mentions “picture editing” you suddenly think of Adobe’s editor program.
It might have happened that, away from home with just an Internet connection, you feel the need to make some simple improvements or changes to your images, and that’s where online image editors come in to help you but I am sure that the best is currently Adobe’s online counterpart to PS.
It is called Photoshop.com, and it allows you to modify your images using any web-browser: it is much easier than the standalone program to use (in fact the features are pretty limited), but it is more than sufficient for you to enhance colors, add captions, resize and crop, adjust lighting and more.
The interface offers everything at a glance: on the left you can see folders and albums where you can store and organize pictures, as well as login into one of the most popular photo sharing sites in order to import images directly , avoiding the need of waiting for them to upload.
The footer toolbar allows you to create new projects and albums, edit the currently opened picture, link or email it to people, save it on the local machine, print it, or delete it.
Let’s take a look at the editing features:
-
Basic
The basic section lets you modify the “basic things” such as size, exposure, but also red eyes and saturation.
-
Adjustments
Here you can change the aspect of the picture, starting from the white balance, to adding focus, or sharpening objects around.
-
Advanced
The best section! Here you have the best features for those who want to give their pictures a little spice.
There’s the “Pop Color”, which lets you make the whole picture black and white except for the color you select(!!), hue, black&white settings, sketching templates, and distorting effects.
I bet there is much more to discover about Photoshop.com, so you might just find it out for yourself by testing it, or you can either watch this video review made by Michael Sherlock that I found on YouTube:
